Bridging academic authority with modern digital learning – designed specifically for A-level Psychology success.
This course explores how we process, store and use information. You'll examine internal mental processes like memory by studying models of memory and how schemas influence our understanding of the world. Through classic and contemporary studies, you'll learn how cognitive psychology explains everyday phenomena like eyewitness testimony and why memory sometimes fails us. You'll also develop key research methods skills including experiments and case studies of brain-damaged patients and explore a contemporary key question: 'How can psychologist's understanding of memory help people with dementia?' Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to practice short and long exam questions with AI feedback and model answers, as well as practice quizzes on every sub-topic.This course covers the complete Edexcel specification for the Cognitive Approach.
